On Steenbrink vanishing for rational singularities in positive characteristic

Abstract: We show a special case of Steenbrink vanishing for rational singularities in positive characteristic. As a consequence, we prove that strongly $F$-regular threefolds and klt threefolds in characteristic $p>41$ satisfy Steenbrink vanishing.
